The world’s largest crypto exchange, Binance’s public-spirited subsidiary firm, Binance Charity Fund, has announced that it will invest its funds for 30,665 scholarships for Web3 education in 2023.

The Binance scholarship program’s objective is to promote Web 3 skills and talents, and increase the diversity of those in the field. The program will enable students to pursue courses in the flourishing Web 3 domain without any financial barriers. After Web2, Web3 will evolve the future built upon distributed ledger technology, blockchain, leveraging, smart contracts, cryptocurrencies, and NFTs.

From 82,000 applications, Binance Charity has already offered 36,500 scholarship placements in the past six months, and has donated more than US$2.2 million in a dollar-pegged stablecoin founded by Binance and finance firm Paxos, BUSD.

Selected educational institutes from all over the world will offer Web3 scholarship placements; countries included are France, Cyprus, Australia, Nigeria, Germany, and Senegal.

The exchange is also working to help educational facilities based in Ukraine to re-train people, especially the ones who have lost their jobs in the Ukraine-Russia conflict.

In Soth Africa and Brazil, the Binance Charity has collaborated with non-profit organizations to help train almost 3000 women working in the Tech field already.

There is a high demand for software engineers within this industry, which is why the company has launched this scholarship program. The U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics has predicted that there will be a 25% increase in demand for software engineer positions, and the number will increase roughly to 411,400 positions over the next 10 years.
